The Western Australian commercial fishing industry comes together
WAFIC is Western Australia’s peak industry body, representing all commercial fishing associations and other industry bodies, across four key bio-regions and associated commonwealth waters.
This wide reaching representation was limiting its effectiveness to communicate and properly engage its stakeholders. With so many people and interests to include, keeping the industry structured and organised was proving challenging.
Our objective was to effectively represent the industry and highlight the newly formed strategic vision of the organisation, re-engaging its stakeholders with a refreshed brand identity, messaging and a comprehensive website.
The WAFIC website is a significant exercise in information architecture and design. The comprehensive representation of the entire commercial fishing industry in one easy-to-use website for both users and adminstrators, was our primary objective. All stakeholders (user types) and their requirements
were carefully considered and mapped, ensuring that the industry is more informed and connected than ever before.
